Lenka Marsh was born in Czechoslovakia, influenced by her father’s upholstery workshop and discovering the magic of materials and fabrics, she passed her entry exams to attend the prestigious Art College in the region. She later achieved her Masters in Product Design from the renowned Academy of Architecture, Art & Design in Prague.

During her six years deeply immersing herself in the world of design education, she enrolled on an exchange program at Sheffield Hallam University in the UK. She started her career as a ‘Kitchen Designer’ for ‘Johnson & Johnson Furniture in Manchester, where she had momentous opportunities to be involved in bespoke kitchen designs for developer’s projects and private clients.

Her experience for exceptional design grew as she embarked on a role as ‘Designer’ for luxury brand ‘Poggenpohl’, the oldest German kitchen manufacturer in the world, specialising in modern kitchen cabinetry. She continued to partner with the “A list” of Premier League Football players such as Manchester United Defender, Phil Neville and his wife Julie, for whom she designed a bespoke kitchen and interiors.

She would regularly cater to elite clients and architectural firms from Foster & Partners to property developers; such as Chelsea based, Candy & Candy Brothers. Lenka thrived in her role and was promoted to Poggenpohl UK Head Office in St. Albans, Hertfordshire, based in the commuter belt north of London. She has since called her home for the past 10 years. She now has two daughters in primary education, whilst continuing to build her credentials.

After working in the interior and architectural industry for almost two decades, she has become greatly versatile in her approach and abilities. Whilst she has become known for residential design, she has frequently delved into hospitality and retail and some may call her a “jack of all trades”. Her experience is global with projects completed in the UK, Europe, UAE, USA. Her portfolio is diverse from projects for Tante Marie Chef Academy in the UK, which featured in House & Garden magazine, to the Golf Estates in Jumeirah, Dubai, to private residences in the Cayman Islands.

Her signature design style is inspired by fashion and fine art and can also be described by her character; sophisticated, luxurious, unrivalled quality with attention to detail and functionality. Lenka has a reverence for the inherent beauty of rare materials and sophisticated furnishings and thoughtfully incorporates elements of each, into every single project. Lenka will creatively fuse the “past and present” with an eclectic touch and choose vibrant colour contrasts for sumptuously lush and tailored living spaces. Lenka’s clients are more than working liaisons, a real partnership, ...a longstanding collaboration for creating the most beautiful of bespoke homes.
