Vitra was founded in 1950 in Germany by the Swiss entrepreneurial ‘Fehlbaum’ family which grew a small shop fitting business to a global furniture manufacturing company and now it’s headquarters are based in Birsfelden, Switzerland. The company has become internationally recognised for its iconic furniture designs and collaborations with world renowned designers such as Charles and Ray Eames, Verner Panton and George Nelson. The Vitra philosophy is simple “making homes great through the power of design”.
